Bangkok Trip 5-8 Mar 09

The Motto of our BKK trip - Shop, Eat & Massage! Shiok..haha
Didn't take many photos for this trip...busy concentrating on spa-ing, eating and shopping.Haha! Din buy much stuff either, only a few pieces of clothings, small pouches and our new hse stuff.

Darling dad sent us to the airport on 5 Mar afternoon in his taxi..heehee..so off we went with Thai Airlines to BKK! 2 of my collegues and 1 of their fren joined us for the trip but they took a different flight at a later time.

We stayed at Twin Tower Hotel-not a v convenient place coz have to walk about 20 mins out to the train station/MBK but since it's a free stay for 2 nites we shall nt hiam. From the map, it looked kind of near to the svc apt which my colls were staying - Grand Diamond so we tried to walk since we had the time but we gave up when we reach MBK-think it's still v far..haha..we took a cab fr MBK to the wholesale shopping-Platimum which is beside Grand Diamond to shop while waiting for my colls to reach.

Their svc apt is quite nice, better than our hotel room. They have a bedroom with a small living room with cooking stove and location is much better. After my colls settled down, we went for our seafood dinner at SomBoon- supposed to be a famous place for seafood. We find the food ok only but it's really cheap. It's shopping time after dinner!- @MBK. Shopped a while before we walked bk for our first Thai massage for the trip in our hotel.

The next day morning, we went bk to Platinum to shop. Really a lot of stuff, see until blur..haha! A little shopping after lunch, we went to a 2hr spa at health land spa. The place is big and nice with v reasonable price and i think many rich pple frequent this spa. A 2 hr massage and scrub cost us only $58. Highly recommended! Check it out at: http://www.healthlandspa.com/). After spa, it's time for dinner! haha..we had jap food at fuji restaurant @ Siam Sqaure followed by shopping at Siam Paragon. And i think we were quite power coz we shopped till we were the last few to leave the centre and gt escorted out fr the centre. Heehee..Third day morning, we went to Chatucha Weekend Market. Though this is the 3rd in BKK, this is the 1st time there. Really gt a lot of stuff..can find almost all the stuff there. We spent almost the whole day there before going to MBK for another round of shopping. Wahaha.. Day ended with Thai massage at my colleagues' hotel- giant diamond. Shiok!!

We went to Platinum again on the last day of our trip to shop a bit before gg bk to hotel, checked out and dragged our luggage to Healthland for the last round of massage before gg home. Heehee.. And the most annoying part of the trip had to happen on the last day. When we boarded the cab fr hotel to the spa place and after we drove for a while, i noticed the uncle did nt turn on the metre so i told him to on it. And he actually told 200baht and he is nt gg to on the metre. I knew the trip would only cost us 80 baht so obviously he is trying to "ka" us. I was quite pissed off and i told him 80baht. He tried to bargain to 100baht but i refused to give in though it's only 20 baht difference which less than S$1. It's a matter of principle! So we got off and took another cab. Haha! Anyway, our trip ended happily with a 2 hr massage! yeah!
