Wedding Preparations (Mar & Apr)

Other than the wedding package which we booked on 1 Jan 08, i would say our preparation actually kicked off in Mar ;)... Mar has been a very interesting month for the both of us as we made many major decisions and changes to our wedding plan...Let's see what we have done in Mar:

In the beginning of Mar, Brandon started to contact the person in charge of Changi Fairy Point Cahlet 7 but did not manage to get her..the woman did not answer his many calls and did not even bother to call back... Until dear scolded the poor person who finally picked up his call at the reception..plus the date we initally wanted was booked made him madder and i guess bcoz of this, they helped him block out the alternative date ...sometimes it does not pay to be nice and kind...

Finally! after confirming the venue, we started our planning...booked our JP and our marriage preparation course, gown fitting, went down to recee the venue, think of ideas and source for stuff for decorations etc...and bought my wedding shoes!

And the turning point came when we went down to the bridal shop to try my gowns.. tried 1 gown which looked rather grand, quite like it and when my coordinator asked me the venue for our dinner, she advised that it may be too grand for the venue... kind of disappt but tot we'll juz choose other gowns lor.. but think dear sort of sense my disapppointment..
the next day, he told me his concern on having our wedding at the chalet and according to our plan, he felt that we are taking a big risk by nt having tentage..if it rains, the most impt day of life would nt be perfect...and also our relatives would have transport problem...and i may have concern with my gowns etc...so after much consideration, we decided to have banquet afterall..

After making the major change to our plan, we settled our banquet venue, confirmed our AD photographer and videographer, bought our wedding bands...Efficient hor? haha...did nt realise we settled quite a number of things in 1 mth..

Quiet month as we took a break after all the decision-makings in Mar..haha..

Another disappointment when the results for the bedok flats balloting result is out..number was 800 over lor..totally no chance! So we started to look at resale flats but it's still very expensive! Haiz...Wondering where and when can i build our little nest..

We went for our wedding preparation course this month... interesting and helpful..and realise we do have similar views in quite a number of areas... which is good! hahaha.. 1 more session to go in May before concluding the whole course...hopefully we put into practice wat we have agreed and learnt during these 3 sessions..

Looking forward to our photo shoot in May! So exciting!!! WOoHoO!
